During 2005, CIBA VISION and Essilor created the MBA program to educate eye care professional about advanced management strategies, skills and techniques to improve practice performance.

A distinguished faculty of practice management experts was assembled, a curriculum was developed and seminars delivered to more than 300 professionals.The curriculum focus was on practical, easy-to-implement ideas that have been field tested and proven at increasing financial return.

During 2006, the MBA program expanded with the creation of MBA-ce.com, a repository of guidelines, ideas and training materials dealing with staff management issues. MBA surveys indicated that staffing was the practice management area posing the greatest challenge to independent professionals.

The materials were developed with input from MBA faculty and other business management authors. They are provided at no charge to eye care professionals, as an educational service of CIBA VISION and Essilor.
